Here is the link (Smokie) to the albumn of my first trip in US. The photographs are really cool, but let me tell you I have not captured single of them. They belong to friend and fortunately there was no copyright over them. So we all can enjoy the beauty free of cost.

Check some samples to be tempted to visit the place.

Smoky mountains are located between Tennessee and North Carolina. The best time to visit is spring or summer. As the name says… these mountains are covered by lots of fog. But we will be surprised at first as why smoky and not foggy? Actually the color which appears due to combination of moutnains, green trees and fog is blue. So they look like smoke…. The place is known as Smoky or Smokie. This was one of ancestarial den of Native Americans.

One of the best place in Smoky mountain is the gallery at peak of mountain from where you can see blue mountains. There is another interesting place woth noticing, and mentioning here. It is called Gagtlinburg, a small town, actually one single straight steet. It is place for the people to shop, eat and chill out. The atmosphere was very unique, which I had never experienced before. It was so happening and loud that you feel like spending at least week.

Another exciting thing I noticed was bunch of Natives roaming around the place with that Harley and other high horse power bikes and chopers in black leather cowboy type of gear. It seems that this people never age, they are always in their 20s and 30s. In India people of age 50-60 are scared to ride bicycle, and this people were with Harley.

I will write more about the place if I can recall my memory. I visited the place in May 2005 and I am writing this in Apr 2006. Long time to have all the memories clear in the fast world of IT.

Hope you all will like the pictures. You can take any pictures you like in the full size from the site. In case you have any other great pictures of the place send them on throw56slink@esnips.com.
